Ensuring consistent hourly communication with our ground teams spanning 11 countries across different time zones demands meticulous scheduling and planning. Coordinating communication across multiple countries with varying peak work periods necessitates a robust communication schedule to facilitate effective and timely information exchange.

Our operations primarily occur in rural areas that often suffer from limited communication infrastructure. This includes unreliable internet connectivity, sparse mobile phone coverage, and other communication challenges, which can hinder regular and effective communication. To mitigate these issues, we implement redundancy plans, such as utilizing multiple communication channels and maintaining backup power supplies. These measures ensure uninterrupted communication even during infrastructure failures.

One of our biggest challenges was managing different Qurban dates in each country due to local moon sightings. This required careful coordination to meet Islamic requirements. Tashreeq days, which are specific dates in the Islamic calendar determined by lunar observations and local religious rulings, vary accordingly. This variability results in different regions observing these days at slightly different times. These variations can impact operations by affecting the availability of local teams, their working hours, and the scheduling of specific tasks or events.

A major logistical challenge to this year’s Qurban operations. Tight and unpredictable border controls caused delays in the entry of livestock, disrupted transport schedules, and limited access to suitable animals, affecting overall fulfillment timelines. These restrictions also led to increased costs and required constant adjustments on the ground. Despite the constraints, effective coordination with local partners allowed the programme to proceed smoothly, although border-related delays remained one of the most critical issues faced this year.

Managing last-minute Qurban orders requires speed, accuracy, and strong coordination across countries and time zones. Coordinating the orders must ensure every order is checked, confirmed, and assigned before each country’s cut-off time. Clear communication helps our ground teams receive timely updates. Every detail, including quantity, payment, and availability, must be verified. Even under pressure, each order is an amanah handled responsibly until fulfilment is completed.
